Welcome to our church of  St Paternus, in the Parish of North Petherwin, within the Anglican Diocese of Truro and the county of Cornwall, England. We are a friendly community and welcome all that wish to worship with us in our Church.

For services and events go to the dedicated page for these and for news, notices and other activities please go to the `News and Notices`page.

We serve a beautiful area, predominantly agricultural, with around a dozen, widely spread small settlements within the Parish, the largest being Petherwin Gate. The church was built to serve a large, mainly farming population but, now that the farms are predominantly mechanised, the farming population is much, much smaller than it used to be. Now, the population of the Parish is less than 500. And so we worship in a large, albeit beautiful, church which is increasingly costly to run and maintain, far more than we can afford without Diocese help and the generosity of our congregation and visitors to the church.

So please, can you help us? There is a special section on this website for donating to the church. In so doing you will be helping to preserve one of the most important aspects of rural life in England - the worship of God and the provision of help in the community.
